Friona had lost 16 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-20 to make it 17. They came up short against the Muleshoe Mules, falling 13-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mules this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in March.

Friona saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Rosales, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Another was Abram Rocha, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

As for Muleshoe, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

On Muleshoe's side, they got a massive performance out of Donovan Moreno, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Moreno has become a key player for the Mules: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-14 otherwise. Ryan Dominguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.

As of now, neither Friona nor Muleshoe have any future games scheduled.
