Basketball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Mount Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Christian Academy Patriots. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 33-32.

Heritage Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Parker Buetow, who posted 20 points. The contest was Buetow's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Anderson, who put up nine points.

Mount Calvary Christian Academy's record now sits at 2-8. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Calvary Christian Academy will host Pamlico Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
