Basketball Recap: Northeast Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bellevue

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northeast). They took down the Bellevue Comets 91-73 on Tuesday. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Comets are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northeast pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Bellevue, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Northeast will head out to square off against Maquoketa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bellevue, they will be home for the holidays to greet Anamosa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
