Basketball Recap: Strong Rock Christian Piles Up the Points Against Flint River Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calvary Christian, Strong Rock Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 72-31 blowout they got against the Flint River Academy Wildcats. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Strong Rock Christian found their leader in freshman Todd Raleigh, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Raleigh has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Burghardt, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Strong Rock Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flint River Academy only posted five assists.

Defeat or not, Flint River Academy got some senior leadership from Jamir Muhammad and D. J. Baums. Muhammad put up ten points and seven rebounds, while Baums had six points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Newman, who posted seven points and six boards.

Strong Rock Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Flint River Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Strong Rock Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-41 win against Konos Academy on the 7th. As for Flint River Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-55 defeat against LaGrange Academy on the 7th.
