Providence came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Oakwood Owls on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pioneers have posted since August 14, 2024.

Providence's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Oakwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Providence and Oakwood will both be playing Marlborough the next time they take the court. The Pioneers will head out to face the Mustangs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Owls will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
