Football Recap: Center Point Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Center Point extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were dealt a 53-0 defeat at the hands of the Moody Blue Devils. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in August.

As for Moody, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.4 points.

Moody's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Lowery, who threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Lowery is becoming a predictor of the Blue Devils' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Jalijah Rutledge was in the mix as well, providing Moody with two scores.

Coincidentally, Center Point and Moody will both be playing Leeds the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Greenwave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
