Softball Game Preview: Telstar Rebels vs. Temple Academy Bereans

The Telstar Rebels will face off against the Temple Academy Bereans at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Telstar has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Telstar is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-9 heartbreaker at the hands of Richmond.

Cadie Campbell and Maylyn Hastings did some serious damage despite the final result: Campbell went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Hastings went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Hastings has got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Coolidge, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Temple Academy's offense. They came up short against Buckfield on Monday, falling 14-0. The Bereans haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Temple Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Tompkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Telstar's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Temple Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
