Volleyball Recap: Cascade Bruins vs. Lake Stevens Vikings
Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Stevens Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 7th.
While Cascade was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lake Stevens' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-18.
Lake Stevens' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Audrey Iseminger, who had six digs and five aces. That's the most aces Iseminger has posted since back in September. Brooklynn Thompson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lake Stevens, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
