Preview: Pilot Point Bearcats vs. Valley View Eagles
The Pilot Point Bearcats will head out on the road to take on the Valley View Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Pilot Point fought the good fight in their overtime game against Boyd on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. Pilot Point has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Valley View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-18 loss at the hands of Paradise. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Valley View has scored all season.
Pilot Point's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Valley View, they bumped their record down to 3-18 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Pilot Point didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Valley View in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory. Does Pilot Point have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
