Softball Recap: Holly Pond Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Holly Pond's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vinemont Eagles on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

Holly Pond's loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Vinemont, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Holly Pond is set to face off against their familiar foe Locust Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Vinemont will take on rival Hanceville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
