Recap: Gardendale Rockets vs. Dallas County Hornets
The Gardendale Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by Dallas County at home to the tune of 77-48. The victory was familiar territory for Gardendale who now have four in a row.
Despite the loss, Dallas County still got an impressive performance from Cameron King, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. King is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joshua Davis III , who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Gardendale is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Dallas County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardendale will take on Huffman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Huffman is ranked 92nd, while Gardendale is ranked 87th). Dallas County and Booker T. Washington Magnet will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Booker T. Washington Magnet is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
