League recap: Saunders Trades & Tech stuns Spring Valley in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Spring Valley, who took down 358th ranked Spring Valley, 19-18.

Justin Davidov and Noah Morton provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Poughkeepsie. The connection was good for 76 yards, the longest such play in Section 1 A - 2 this season.

Davidov put up the best numbers through the air as Ossining lost to the Pioneers. He finished with seven completions for 129 yards and three touchdowns. Davidov's favorite target this week was Morton, who caught three passes for 90 yards.

Joseph Lombardo was the most productive running back in the league this week. In nine carries, he ran for 114 yards as Somers topped Panas. Teammate Stefano Bicknese added to the ground attack by rushing for 100 yards.

Festo was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tuskers beat the Panthers. Festo tallied four receptions for 116 yards. Griffin Haas helped Somers' passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.

On the ground, Somers' Bicknese has rushed for 852 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Festo. The Somers star has 22 catches for 402 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Port Chester takes on Saunders Trades & Tech. At the moment, the Rams are in sixth, while the Blue Devils are in third.

Gorton was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 14th to 11th in the league. The Wolves defeated Lincoln 35-0 earlier in the week.
