Recap: Wiregrass Kings vs. East Central HomeSchool Patriots
Even though the East Central HomeSchool Patriots scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Wiregrass Kings still came out on top. Wiregrass enjoyed a cozy 73-58 victory over East Central HomeSchool. This was payback for Wiregrass, who suffered a 58-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Wiregrass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Strickland, who scored 23 points. Strickland continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Treadaway, who scored 20 points.
Wiregrass' win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for East Central HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
Wiregrass will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Grace Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for East Central HomeSchool, East Central HomeSchool and Evangel Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Evangel Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
