Basketball Game Preview: Patton Springs Rangers vs. Motley County Matadors

The Patton Springs Rangers are taking a road trip to take on the Motley County Matadors at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Patton Springs is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Valley on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Patton Springs was dealt a 70-29 defeat at the hands of Valley. The loss continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Motley County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 46-41 to Guthrie.

Patton Springs now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Motley County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Patton Springs couldn't quite finish off Motley County when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 42-40. Can Patton Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
