Baseball Recap: Rampart Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Rampart proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Valdez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Rampart is 2-1 when Valdez posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Duke Pingrey, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rampart's record now sits at 7-14. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

As of now, neither Rampart nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
