Basketball Recap: Chapin Wins Going Away Against Dreher

Chapin's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Dreher Blue Devils with a sharp 55-31 victory. The Eagles not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 27, 2024 (when they won 63-21).

Reagan Haggard was the offensive standout of the matchup as she went 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points. What's more, she also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Atyria Douglas, who posted four points and five boards.

When it comes to explaining why Dreher lost, don't look at Kynadi Breland. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The win got Chapin back to even at 2-2. As for Dreher, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Chapin is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Ben Lippen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dreher, they will be playing at home against Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Silver Foxes have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
