Eustis extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Brandon Sutton. The Panthers came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-52 W against the Lake Weir Hurricanes thanks in part to Sutton, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.9% field goal percentage.

Another player making a difference was Kevin Daniels, who posted two points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adrian Smith, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Jackson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and five boards.

Eustis' victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Lake Weir, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eustis and Seminole will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Weir, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tavares at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
