Softball Recap: Southern Wells Takes a Loss

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Southern Wells was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against the Jay County Patriots, falling 18-1. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost seven in a row.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Jay County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southern Wells will face off against rival Woodlan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jay County is set to square off against their familiar foe Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Jay County 2.5, Heritage 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
