Volleyball Recap: Boerne Greyhounds vs. Smithson Valley Rangers

If Boerne was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Veterans Memorial last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Boerne Greyhounds fell just short of the Smithson Valley Rangers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Boerne took Smithson Valley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Even though they lost, Boerne was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Smithson Valley only served two.
