Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Georgiana last Monday, Hillcrest came back down to earth. The Hillcrest Jaguars lost 21-4 to the Excel Panthers on Thursday. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 13-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hillcrest now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Excel, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

While Hillcrest had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
