Volleyball Recap: Eugene Eagles vs. Strafford Indians
Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Strafford Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Strafford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooklynne Lumley led the charge by getting four digs and three aces.
Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Strafford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-3-2.
Coincidentally, Eugene and Strafford will both be playing Boonville the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Pirates at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
