Volleyball Recap: Kearny Comes Up Short

Kearny extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-15. They fell 2-0 to the Morse Tigers. The Komets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kearny's offense was headlined by Guilianna Tinoco and Tanya Bri Pasigpasigan, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Etheredge and her three assists. Tinoco was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

As for Morse, their record is now 8-12. The game was the first time they have beaten Kearny on their court since September 2, 2023.

Morse found their leader in freshman Hailee Divina, who had five aces and three digs.

Kearny didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Monte Vista on the 20th. As for Morse, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against O'Farrell Charter on the 20th.
