Basketball Recap: Oswego Piles Up the Points Against Chetopa

Oswego's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 72-3 win over the Chetopa Hornets. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Oswego found their leader in freshman Aubree Foster, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kodi Trimble, who went 5-for-6 en route to 13 points and five steals.

Oswego was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Oswego's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Chetopa, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oswego and Southern Coffey County will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Chetopa and Marmaton Valley will compete for holiday cheer on Friday.
