Basketball Game Preview: UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs vs. Fordham Prep Rams

Having just played yesterday, the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs will jump right back in to play the Fordham Prep Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. UMS-Wright Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last six games.

UMS-Wright Prep is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest victory since November 7th on Friday. They breezed by Tournament Opponent to the tune of 72-28.

Meanwhile, Fordham Prep can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wausau West, sneaking past 38-35. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 248th in New York, while the Warriors are ranked 81st in Wisconsin).

UMS-Wright Prep better keep an eye on Brian Kapfer. He was instrumental in Fordham Prep's win, going 7 of 16 on his way to 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kapfer has scored at least a third of Fordham Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan McElhatton, who posted four points and eight rebounds.

UMS-Wright Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Fordham Prep, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
