Softball Recap: Memorial Mavericks vs. Lubbock-Cooper Pirates
Memorial and Lubbock-Cooper squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Memorial had to settle for second. They lost 14-4 to the Pirates. The Mavericks just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.
Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 13-23. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-5.
