Basketball Recap: Athens Skates Past Havana with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Athens on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Havana Ducks out of the water with a 67-23 final score. With the Warriors ahead 37-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Athens got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Moscardelli out in front who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points along with five boards and four steals. Moscardelli is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Hill, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points.

Athens' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Havana, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
