Preview: Wisner-Pilger Gators vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears
Wisner-Pilger is 7-2 against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Wisner-Pilger Gators will be playing at home against the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears at 6:00 p.m. Wisner-Pilger has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
Wisner-Pilger scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 72-31 win over Lyons-Decatur Northeast. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Wisner-Pilger with their most commanding win of the season.
Meanwhile, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge didn't have too much trouble with Lutheran-Northeast on the road on Tuesday as they won 50-34. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Wisner-Pilger's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Wisner-Pilger strolled past Laurel-Concord-Coleridge when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 53-36. Will Wisner-Pilger repeat their success, or does Laurel-Concord-Coleridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
