Volleyball Recap: Waubonsie Valley Comes Up Short

Waubonsie Valley lost against Lockport back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Porters by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Waubonsie Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 15-8.

Lockport was led to victory by Ryan Dziadkowiec and Jose Arroyo. Dziadkowiec had 18 assists and four digs, while Arroyo had ten digs. That's the most assists Dziadkowiec has posted over his last 11 contests.

Waubonsie Valley now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Lockport, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Waubonsie Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Romeoville on the 21st. As for Lockport, they will challenge Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
