Basketball Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

Montgomery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Brenham Cubs an easy 61-38 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since December 7, 2023.

Montgomery's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Brenham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Montgomery will be taking part in a tournament against Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Brenham will take on Huntsville in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Huntsville will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Brenham surely won't give up without a fight.
