Softball Recap: Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Melrose

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta faced Melrose in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Tigers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dutchmen. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Dutchmen's pitchers proved too tough.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta fell to 11-1. As for Melrose, the win keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.
