Bluefield is 7-1 against WestSide since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bluefield Beavers will host the WestSide Renegades at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bluefield managed to slip by Princeton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Bluefield came up short against Princeton on Wednesday, falling 19-5.

Bluefield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Mills, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Isiah Mitchell was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, WestSide unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 18-0 to Scott on Wednesday. The Renegades have struggled against the Skyhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.
