Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Leedey

Leedey entered their tilt with Frederick on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Frederick Bombers 41-38. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Bombers are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leedey's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Frederick, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leedey will host Shattuck at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Shattuck's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. Frederick has already played their next contest (against Big Pasture), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
