Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingsway). They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over Gloucester County Tech on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Killian McCaffrey looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Kingsway got a massive performance out of Kyle Shields, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Shields a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Thorp, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Kingsway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive games.

Kingsway pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Gloucester County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Kingsway wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Paul VI on the 27th. As for Gloucester County Tech, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Cinnaminson on the 26th.
