Volleyball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Falls Despite Big Games from Madalynn Kennedy and Kali Kurilko + How To Watch

Northwest Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Jay M. Robinson Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Northwest Cabarrus was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Jay M. Robinson work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 26-24.

Northwest Cabarrus' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kali Kurilko, who had 19 digs, five aces, and one block, and Madalynn Kennedy, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Northwest Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Jay M. Robinson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Northwest Cabarrus has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against North Rowan on the 15th. As for Jay M. Robinson, they will welcome South Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
