Softball Recap: Lamphere Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ferndale on Wednesday, Lamphere came back down to earth. The Rams fell 7-4 to the Clawson Trojans on Thursday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Brooke Harrison (2025) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Emilie Eritano (2025) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hayden Gum (2025), who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Lamphere's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Clawson, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Lamphere will head out to face off against Center Line at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Clawson, they will host Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
