Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Takes a Loss

Wheaton Academy hit Aurora Christian with a four-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 8-2 to the Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on Thursday.

Aurora Christian saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Niedzwiecki, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Aurora Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Wheaton Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Aurora Christian will challenge St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Wheaton Academy, they will take on Marian Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
