Council was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Riverstone International on Thursday. The Council Lumberjacks blew past the Riverstone International Otters, posting a 51-15 win. The Lumberjacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 28 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Riverstone International saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Vera Brooks posted nine points.

Council is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points over those games. As for Riverstone International, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Council has already played their next match, a 48-32 victory against Vision on the 11th. Riverstone International does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
