 Chicago Christian can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   10-6  victory over Chicago Hope Academy. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Chicago Christian considering their one-run performance the  contest before.
  Jocelyn Hovanec made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and one unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Hovanec has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Hovanec was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Chicago Christian let  Abby Rashan and  Brenna Schaafsma loose on the outfield. Rashan  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances, while  Schaafsma  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double.
 Chicago Christian's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-5. As for Chicago Hope Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Chicago Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chicago Hope Academy: the pair will be back at it again later today.
