Volleyball Recap: Ogden Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ben Lomond on Tuesday, Ogden came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Mountain Crest Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Ogden sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 17-25, 19-17.

Keen Crowther paced Ogden's offense, picking up 35 kills. Crowther got some help from James Taukiuvea and his 30 assists. Crowther also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Kos Crowther, each putting up two.

With the loss, Ogden broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-5. As for Mountain Crest, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Ogden has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Grantsville on the 21st. As for Mountain Crest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Bear River on the 21st.
