Baseball Recap: Pine City Comes Up Short

Pine City's last matchup with Aitkin could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Dragons lost 15-1 to the Gobblers. The defeat continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Gobblers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Pine City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beau Hegge, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Pine City's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Aitkin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Pine City will take on Ogilvie at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aitkin, they will challenge Marshall at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
