Baseball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Freeport's Winning Streak

Freeport fell victim to South Sumter and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the South Sumter Raiders, falling 14-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this contest were averaging 3.44 runs allowed.

With the loss, Freeport broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for South Sumter, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
