Softball Recap: Palatine Falls Short of Stevenson in the Playoffs

Palatine and Stevenson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Palatine had to settle for second. They lost 10-0 to the Patriots. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Palatine has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-18-1 record this season. As for Stevenson, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-3.

Palatine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stevenson, they will be playing at home against Mundelein at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
