Volleyball Game Preview: Mater Academy Charter Lions vs. Miami Springs Golden Hawks

Mater Academy Charter is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Belen Jesuit just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since March 4th.

While Mater Academy Charter ultimately came up short, they really made Belen Jesuit work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Miami Springs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Booker T. Washington with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Miami Springs never let Booker T. Washington on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-13.

Miami Springs' victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Mater Academy Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
