Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Taft walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Roosevelt Rough Riders on Saturday. The game was the first time the Toreadors have beaten the Rough Riders on their field since May 15, 2015.

Taft has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-23 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-21 record this season.

Taft will square off against Carson at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colts will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Toreadors surely won't give up without a fight. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
