Volleyball Recap: North Jackson Comes Up Short

North Jackson lost against New Hope back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chiefs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. While the Chiefs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-18 in the first set.

North Jackson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-13.

North Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Hope, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-18.

North Jackson and New Hope could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Chiefs will face off against Westminster Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (321 vs. 143). Meanwhile, New Hope (ranked 209th) will meet Huntsville (ranked 17th) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
