Basketball Recap: Grand Rapids Comes Up Short

Grand Rapids lost against Esko back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks lost to the Esko Eskomos at home by a 81-64 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Thunderhawks still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Grand Rapids and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Esko, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Rapids will venture away from home to square off against Proctor at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Esko, they will challenge Superior at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Esko's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
