Volleyball Recap: Pratt Comes Up Short

Pratt lost against Hoisington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Greenbacks fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Pratt sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-19.

Mica Stapleton paced Pratt's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stapleton got some help from Savannah Copus and her 17 assists. Avery Fuhr controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pratt's defeat dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Hoisington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-4 record this season.

Pratt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoisington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Larned at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
