Basketball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 67-43 to the General McLane Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 62-23 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for General McLane, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Northwestern will head out to face off against Iroquois at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for General McLane, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-51 defeat against Clarion Area on the 18th.
