Baseball Recap: Lecanto Comes Up Short

Lecanto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the East Lake Eagles, falling 16-3.

Lecanto's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for East Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lecanto Panthers challenge Dunnellon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Lake, they will square off against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on March 26th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Wiregrass Ranch 3.5, East Lake 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
