Soccer Game Preview: King's Fork vs. Grassfield

King's Fork is 0-6 against Grassfield since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

King's Fork took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Windsor. The win continues a trend for King's Fork in their matchups with Windsor: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Grassfield entered their tilt with Nansemond River on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Warriors. Considering Grassfield have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Grassfield's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matches. As for King's Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.

King's Fork suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Grassfield in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
